Untitled,2025

My work explores the cyclical nature of life and death, shaped by personal belief and the unseen forces of transformation. I envision reincarnation not as a distant metaphysical idea, but as an intimate, evolving ritual. The "flower of freedom"—born from bones, blood, and sealed plates—embodies resilience and rebirth. Each element, whether symbolic or material, carries the weight of memory, sacrifice, and spirit. Through this process, I too undergo a quiet resurrection. My art becomes a living relic—part offering, part metamorphosis—inviting viewers to consider how belief can shape reality, and how beauty can rise from the remnants of pain.

I made this video based on the previous painting "My spirit My body" In conceptualizing this piece, I used steel wire and structural frames as symbols of confinement and self-limitation, alluding to the feeling of being stung by our own anxieties. The translucent film fabric is elegant and elusive, embodying the transience of thought and the struggle between body and soul. Through this juxtaposition, the work visualizes the inner tug of war, capturing the essence of spiritual struggle and the desire for liberation.

Under the Sound,2023

The gaze - one of introspection and external judgment - is explored in its dichotomous nature, acting both as a reflection of self-awareness and as an imposing weight of societal expectations. To portray an uncomfortable environment, I made up a tune (5 mins total) that looped throughout the presentation so that the audience could be surrounded to experience that uncomfortable feeling of being stared at. This artistic odyssey is the eternal interplay of life, death, perception, and introspection. My works stand as silent sentinels, beckoning onlookers to delve deep, to see and be seen, in a realm where gazes intertwine and stories unravel.
