The creation of an auction scene, supplemented with miniatures, which starkly showcases organs as coveted commodities. Yet, my intention was not to be overly literal. I sought a balance, a space where the figurative meets the abstract, urging viewers to not just see, but to feel and question the boundaries of morality and humanity. In this Organ Auction Exhibit, I delve into the dichotomy of a world that celebrates human rights advancements while being marred by the stark reality of human trafficking. This exhibit is both a portrayal and an inquiry into how the sanctity of human life has been diminished to mere trade, in such a world, the right to our bodies is perceived more as a privilege than an inherent right.

Mirrored Echoes: The Dualities of Gaze

Dimension variable,2023

Silk cloth, acrylic, mixed fiber, silver fiber, handmade paper and branches in paper pulp

I think about the diversity of the gaze, who is the subject of the gaze? It can be both a mental gaze and visual gaze, a feeling that is everywhere, a bondage, and sometimes a shackle that we place on ourselves. Using paper and fiber, I weave textures embodying emotions like desire for freedom, anger, and the anxiety of being watched.
